The 12-volt lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 1.3 amp-hours. This provides sufficient power and endurance to complete some sanding tasks and do something else while the battery recharges. Lithium-ion batteries also offer consistently high performance, low self-discharge, and no memory effect. This means they can be connected to the charger at any charge level without damage and, for example, used when half-charged to finish a few remaining tasks. The charge level is indicated by three LEDs.
